Summer was a bit of a bust here in NY, rain seemed to plague my planned beach trips and my freckles barely even surfaced…however as summer comes to a close (take your time Mother Nature…) the one good thing is that new seasons goods are now up and Summer is on sale. Find them HERE
With the Fall/Winter season I wanted to focus on providing that much needed punch-in-the-face of colour when January rolls around and it seems Spring is NEVER ever coming back. Tone on tone and colour blocking were my main focus. Even just sewing brighter hues are more fun let alone wearing them!
I introduced a couple of new styles, along with old favourites Crystal/Roxanne/Katie.
Meet Sierra who in real life is a petite pixie of a lady and big bags overwhelm her. Sierra even in the depths of crazy coldness continues to cycle to work so a cross body bag that was big enough to fit the essentials that could be slung over her mountainess jacket was a factor.
And then the J.A.G which is for Jessica who is equal parts my PR (The Shiny Squirrel) and close friend requested a large portfolio clutch. That was really fun to make and surprising her at Brunch with it was even better. She wanted those beautiful jewel tones of wine and red and then I took it pop further and made orange and aqua which feels almost nautical to me, a nice memory of summer when the snow is falling.
And finally I am pretty sure I’ve mentioned this one before but the Barbara which is made for my mother. She needed an upgrade to the one I made her some 3 years ago I think. This is a woman that carries the world around so she needed something that had many pockets to allow for all the different parts of her life that absolutely have to leave the house with her.
