Okay, are you ready! I just met Adrian the photographer for coffee this morning and we chatted about last nights escapades and he handed over a disc of the photos – gorgeous! It’s hard to choose which ones to put into the book!! But here are a few for you to see. Many many thanks again to Adrian Barry, Kathleen Cullen, Erin Brisbane and Louis Gruber!
Every time I do one of these I work myself in a stress puddle over the styling, the location(s), making sure everyone is comfortable and hoping that it looks how I imagine it will. Every time it comes together perfectly and I always wish that I could do it all over again! I really do love the styling part of it all, my years as a Visual Merchandiser always come to the fore on these occasions.
Oh boy it was a hot one today but Kathleen Cullen was cool as a cucumber ignoring the fact it was in the 90′s before noon…We shot around the L.E.S. starting out at Bluebird Cafe (thanks Alex Hall!) and then around and about NY. Huge huge thanks to another fantastic crew! I had a couple of repeat members, Adrian Barry and Erin Brisbane with buddy/gorgeous model Kathleen Cullen and videographer Louis Gruber. I’m very excited to see all the photos and for the first time to have Lou filming a behind the scenes. I am so lucky to have so many talented friends! that and New York city are my best ammunition for a slick collection!
I’m kind of going all patchwork at the moment. It’s definitely taken a little feature in the new FW11/12 collection that I’m shooting with Adrian Barry again on Monday. In and around NYC, it’s going to be so fun! Wish I had found this vest earlier, it would definitely fit in. Find it at Ramona West Vintage
To quote Ronald Reagan “Surround yourself with the best people you can find…”- once again I totally lucked out with a fantastic team to work on my Fall/Winter Lookbook shoot. Much much love to all that worked on it!! Shot in my hood of Williamsburg, imagine if you will the song below playing as this shoot is going down.
A round of applause for the super talented:
photographer – Adrian Barry

Geeeeeeeet ready, this is the first photo in of ‘Finders Keepers’
This collection I found hardware/zippers/thread/bindings all in places I hadn’t considered before. Finding bindings in a shoe repair outlet, thread from an old-school tailor on the L.E.S. and swivel snaps meant for horse leads. It’s all about opening your eyes and looking deep into places unknown.
Shot in Williamsburg with a salute to NY, my original catalyst for starting the whole line with people who continue to be my muse. As you’ll see each piece has a christian name – these are for my friends who unknowingly provide me with inspiration. Get ready to meet Laura/Katie/Jessica and Ramiro.

We shot F/W out and about in Williamsburg today and I feel so lucky to have such a great wealth of talented friends who for a dozen oysters, truffle fries and several beers (mmm Five Leaves) will help me out. A big big thank you and I can’t wait to show you how it came out.
In between holding reflectors and lenses I played around with my camera.
